At Precisely, innovation, leadership, and impact are more than just ideals – they’re part of our DNA. One of the most meaningful ways we celebrate these values across our organization is through our Technical Recognition Program.

What is the Technical Recognition Program?

The Technical Recognition Program was established to honor and reward employees whose technical contributions go above and beyond expectations.

These contributions reflect deep expertise, thought leadership, and measurable business impact. We celebrate excellence across a wide range of categories – whether it’s developing innovative solutions, influencing industry standards, or delivering game-changing outcomes for our customers.

Award recipients are selected based on their standout portfolios and remarkable accomplishments, which may include:

  • Strategic thought leadership and direction-setting for our technology stack that positions Precisely as a leader in the broader tech industry
  • Innovations that transform the customer experience and drive better business outcomes

💡 Celebrating Innovation and Cross-Functional Impact

Excellence knows no boundaries, and neither does recognition at Precisely.

Careers and Culture

We help market leaders make better decisions and build new possibilities. Want to join the team? Find out about working with us and our current openings.

This program is open to exceptional contributors across R&D, support, presales, sales, and professional services. It showcases the high caliber of talent within our team, and the collaboration that powers our success. Honorees earn the title of “Distinguished Engineer.”

This year, we’re thrilled to recognize two Distinguished Engineers whose contributions continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Honoring Our 2025 Distinguished Engineers

🏆 Sean McCoy, Sr. Technology Architect

A returning honoree, Sean is being renewed as a Distinguished Engineer for his ever-expanding impact across data integration and our entire Data Integrity Suite.

His deep technical leadership has been critical in advancing our product roadmap, deployment strategies, and customer success. His contributions continue to define what technical leadership looks like at Precisely.

Reflecting on the recognition, Sean shared:

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized again as a Distinguished Engineer. When I was first recognized three years ago, it was largely for my contributions to our on-prem products such as Precisely Connect. The connections I’ve made as a result of the Technical Recognition Program have opened a lot of doors for me and have emboldened me to take on new challenges.

Since then, I’ve expanded my role to focus on the rapidly growing Data Integrity Suite, and my contributions there have been key to my renewal as a Distinguished Engineer. I’m proud to represent our incredibly talented Support organization, and I hope to mentor additional candidates for technical recognition later this year, both from Support as well as the rest of the company!”

🏆 Diana Smith, Solutions Architect

Diana is being recognized for her exemplary work with customers and partners, her measurable business impact in location intelligence and data enrichment, and her rising profile as an external thought leader – including in her role as a Lecturer of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at San Diego State University.

Her work not only enhances the way customers interact with our solutions, but also shapes the future of location-driven decision-making.

“This recognition reinforces what I’m most passionate about: turning technical complexity into customer success,” shared Diana. “Whether it’s developing custom solutions in impossibly tight timeframes or rebuilding damaged relationships through innovative problem-solving, I’m motivated by tackling challenges that seem insurmountable at first. I’m excited to continue pushing these boundaries and mentoring others to do the same.”
