FAQ: Precisely Data
The Pitney Bowes Software and Data Marketplace (SDM) has been rebranded and renamed to Precisely Data Experience.
The Precisely Data Experience has been redesigned for easier navigation and user convenience. Logos and color treatments have also been updated to align with the new Precisely brand.
You’ll still be able to access your data, download samples, visualize on a map, and explore demos. The Precisely Data Experience no longer supports online data transactions via the shop.
If you are interested in purchasing more data, please reach out to your account representative or click Contact Sales within the Precisely Data Experience and we will be happy to assist you.

Your login credentials will remain the same.

Products and functionality associated with your account have not changed. All functionality and associated workflows such as “My Products” or “Sample Datasets,” remain the same on the Precisely Data Experience as they were on the Software and Data Marketplace.
After signing in, you can view the products you subscribe to on https://data.precisely.com by clicking the My Products link.

The ecommerce element to the software and data market was removed earlier this year and will not be added to the Precisely Data Experience.

Going forward, email communications related to your Pitney Bowes data products will be sent from the no-reply@data.precisely.com. You may want to add this email to your address book to avoid notices being blocked by your spam filters.
Short term, nothing changes or will break. Later in 2020 you will need to change your script using an updated SDK when released. Precisely will notify you when this updated SDK is available for download from the Precisely Data Experience site.

The Precisely Data Guide has been redesigned with logos and color treatments to align with the new Precisely brand. You may also notice some minor changes to product names and groupings.

Starting June 1, 2020, product documents will begin to reflect branding changes (logos, color schemes, etc.). Over time, these products will be updated to align with the Precisely brand. Clients will be notified of any significant changes (file names, data schema, etc.) at least 6 months in advance.
At this time there are no changes to your Data products that would affect automation scripts.
In the event of future updates Precisely will make every reasonable effort to notify customers at least 6 months in advance of any significant changes (file names, data schema, etc.) that could require an update to automation scripts.
The pbKey has been rebranded as PreciselyID. This rebrand does not impact service nor does it require you as the customer to make any changes at this time.
The PreciselyID is a unique identifier for an addressable location that is included in many of our datasets. While we’ve changed the name, no schema changes will be made to any Precisely data product without a 6 month advance notice.
